Relationships need to be nurtured.
Life gets busy for all of us, and we often miss the day-to-day opportunities to truly connect with our daughters and ensure that they feel we are on their side and that we love and support them. Their increasing independence doesn't mean that we become less important to them and their lives, they just need us in different ways.
Healthy relationships require trust, honesty, empathy, mutual trust, communication, and connection. Just as our romantic relationships need frequent tending, so it is with our relationships with our daughters.
As our girls inch toward womanhood, it’s imperative that we, as mothers, establish ourselves as an ally in this journey. It’s easy to let our fears drive our relationship with them, however this can be a death sentence to the relationship we would like to have with them during these years and beyond.
A weekend away, just the two of you, can offer a chance to reconnect with your daughter, no matter how good or bad you feel your relationship is today.
This 2-day, fun-filled, interactive workshop for mothers (or step-mothers) and their tween or teen daughters (or step-daughters) is designed to strengthen relationships through engaging activities to build trust and to foster communication and understanding.
Weekend includes workshop, accommodations, and breakfast.
Due to the one-on-one nature of this event, if you have multiple tweens/teens you would like to share this experience with, please register for additional workshops.
